Green Cleaning Fast, Easy and Earth Friendly

Each and everyday we soap up and scrub down not only our bodies but our surroundings.
We always are asked what are the things we use to clean up everything and everywhere as people are looking for A healthy earth friendly alternative to harsh chemicals.

Each and every item we use to clean is homemade! We take our time in preparing our soaps,body washes ,shampoo, window cleaner ,tile cleaner, wood floor cleaner, dog shampoo and deodorizing spray. We even started making our our felted wool balls for the dryer that we scent with essential oils!!!

So I figured I should share some tips trick and easy recipes that everyone can follow with the basics that you can find in your local supermarket.

Basic necessities for cleaning : These can all be found at your local supermarket.

Baking Soda,
White Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar
Lemons
Lemon juice
Borax
Castile Soap
Creme of Tarter

Basic supplies :

Plastic squirt bottle
Plastic spray bottle
Glass jars
Cotton cloths
Old tshirts to be used as rags

Essential oils list: there are many others you can use but these I listed are very easy to find and not very expensive

Tea Tree- antibiotic,anti fungal ,antiviral ,and antibacterial
Lavender- antibiotic,anti fungal ,antiviral ,and antibacterial
Rosemary- antibacterial
Lemon-antibiotic,anti fungal ,antiviral ,and antibacterial

Below are a few of my all time favorite recipes to clean around the house!

Sink be clean
1/4 cup baking soda
1/2 cup vinegar
3 drops of lemon Essential Oil

Combine all , rinse your sink with very hot water pour the cleanser in the sink and wipe with a cloth or sponge, rinse again and our sink is now clean clean clean.

Herbal scrub
Great for sink and pots

1 cup baking soda
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 drops of lemon Essential Oil

Combine all in a glass jar and shake on as needed. Store in a glass jar too.
Use a cloth or sponge with some of this mixture to clean tough stuck on items

Pet Floor Cleaner
This is great for those who have dogs and cats that are on wood,tile type floors

1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water

Combine both in a spray bottle and after you mop your floor spray this mixture All around and it will leave your floors with no pet scent at all.

Dog pre wash

1/4 cup of baking soda

Sprinkle this on your dog and use a MIT or brush to work it into his coat then give him a bath and ere you go a no smell dog!

Tips and tricks:

To keep your bathroom fresh add a few drops of essential oil to the inside the cardboard tube of your toilet tissue. Each time you grab some tissue the tube rolls of the holder and will disperse a lovely scent.

Keep bath mats and rugs fresh by placing 1/2 cup baking soda in a jar with 10 drops of essential oil and sprinkle on the bath mat and bath rugs in between washes wait ten minutes then vacuum !

No more new car smell

2 tablespoons baking soda
2 cups hot water
1 teaspoon mint essential oil

Dissolve baking soda in water blend essential oil
Vacuum the upholstery to remove loose dirt or debris
Moisten a soft cloth with this formula and rub down the upholstery ,rinse clean with a damp cloth then dry with a towel….
